During this semester we all learned something, whether it was about interpreting poems or even learning how to write in MLA Format. One of my colleagues named Jennifer Hutchinson said that this semester she learned " I would say the most important thing I have learned from this class is how literature is interpreted". I agree with Jennifer here because, in the beginning of this semester I would just read the poems just because, that's what was assigned. As time went on each Tuesday in class when Mr. Hamon would dissect the poem I'd learn more and more how to do the same and interpret what it was saying.The other colleague that I'm going to be using is Kayla Jackson who said; " I think the most important thing that I learned in this class was the point of plays". I too, initially thought they were for enjoyment but in this class, i realized that the sidenotes and actions that were displayed made us see things that the book couldn't.

This semester I've learned how to respect others opinions in class and actually hear them out. Normally I'm not too good with this, and this is one of my major flaws. This semester towards the end we began to do discusses in class about the story that we had to read for that weeks assessment and this is when everyone would share their opinions and talk about how they felt. This class has humbled me and allowed me to respect others opinions! Thanks, Mr. Hamon and I enjoyed this class with all of you!

When I was doing this post I decided to look at Demarshun for my male and for my female I chose Dainty. When reading Demarshun post his view on women was " the modern day woman in majority of households is the head of that household. I remember  there was a time, when the "man of the house" made decisions and those decisions was the law of that house". whereas, when reading Dainty post she feels as if  , "most women play the role of both wife and mother, but also as a contributing and equal member of the household and society". When reading each of these post they both shared a similar thought in regards to women having more say so, then  back in the day.

Today when it comes to the women role, it's definitely changed in the U.S.  Women back in the day were known to play the role as "housewife". Their main duty during that time was to stay at home, cook, clean, and to be their supportive to their husbands as they take care of their household. In today's time its different because women want to do more than stay at home, they actually want to go out and better themselves and receive a higher education. Unlike Nora, women are no longer looked at as not being capable to do certain things, because of them being women. They now receive more respect than back then.

When it comes to a movie with one of the best plots I'd have to give it to "Gone Girl". This movie is so good that I could watch it over and over and not get tired of it. The plot was about A man wife named Amy who he considered to be perfect goes missing, philandering Nick becomes the prime suspect of this missing woman. What makes this so interesting is that although I thought he was the reasoning that she was missing due to how the movie was going THE PLOT HAD A TWIST!!! this made the movie even more suspense and good! The plot twist was that the wife Amy who was initially missing learned that her husband Nick had cheated on her. So she decided to disappear to make it look as if her husband Nick had killed her. Later on through the movie she returns back home to Nick her husband, meanwhile when she was away she'd murdered her ex boyfriend to make it look like he'd kidnapped her. Yes she's crazy!!!! But this plot was so good that it kept my attention through...

I'm not really a person who sits around watching Tv, because makeup is what excites me more. I love watching youtube all day trying to learn new things to do in regards to my makeup, or even improving somethings that I already know how to do. Although, this is the case I do have a favorite TV show which is First 48. The setting of this show really varies being that they actually go to the crime scene to solve the murders, but overall the setting is in the office of the detectives. This setting to me, gives suspense to what's about too happen, and it gives a actually mystery to solving this vase.

When I read this poem by E.E Cummings the reaction I got from it was that in someway it was mocking of conventional beliefs and how the society not only look at things but accept things as well. "thy sons acclaim your glorious name by gorry by jingo by gee by gosh by gum why talk of beauty what could be more heroic that the happy dead" from this statement Cumming's is saying that the United State of America's "Sons" obtain everything they happen to tell us to be proud of sadly through the act of violence and nothing can be more "heroic" which is stated in a very smart, yet sarcastic form. A song that holds irony of this particular poem would be ":Take me to church" by Hozier. When I first heard this song, it made me think of me somewhat. He said,"My lover's got humor, She's the giggle at a funeral, Know's everybody disapproval, I should've worshiped her sooner".  In this song it;s talking about how according to s...

When it comes to a song that I actually can relate to and in relation to one of my favorite poems we've read, which is " A Secret Sorrow " I'd have to say the song " Afraid " by,Motley Cue symbolizes this story somewhat. The poem A Secret Sorrow  had many themes but one that stuck out to me was Faye Overcoming her fear and insecurity issues due to her inability to have children , making her feel worthless, insecure and guilty. In this song a particular verse sticks out to me which symbolized this story kinda. "She's so afraid to kiss And so afraid to laugh Is she running from her past? It's only life She's so afraid of love Is so afraid of hate What she's running from now?"

When it comes to poetry, it's something I've always loved. It soothes me deeply to the point where I feel as if when I read it, it makes me escape to another place. This place is actually called a "Happy Place" that makes me feel at peace. The metaphor that I'm going to use about poetry is,"Reading poetry is planting seeds of wisdom"

When it comes to a metaphor that describes my life I'd have to use "Life is like an elevator: on your way up, sometimes, you have to stop and let some people off. This metaphor describes my life simply because, in life I've had to let some people who I thought were initially with me but when I began to level up hating began to start so I had to let them go. In life you may think everyone want to see you winning, But once you level up you realize everyone isn't clapping, So what do you do? Realize... When it comes to images they can mean many things. Images can mean different things simply because we as people all interpret things differently from one another, and don’t think the same way. The things that an individual may have went through during the lifetime whether it was good or bad influences how they interpret images. One of my favorite songs haves a lot of imagery in it, by Adele “Hometown Glory”. “I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque I love to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades I like it in the city when two worlds collide You get the people and the government Everybody taking different sides .” This song makes me get a view of where she’s from, simply by the lyrics presented above, it also lets me feel as if I’m there because of the wording she used in the song to paint a picture. This picture sums up my life. "Peace Of Mind". In life I sometimes go through things that I don't quite understand.  Like why me? What did I do to deserve this? When things in my life seem not go as I plan, I have to realize that Is it worth the stress? No, things happen and you sometimes can't control them which is why... "Peace Of Mind" sums up my life. If you have a peace of mind, you'll have a beautiful life.

A poem that shares a lot of mythology is a poem entitled "Ode on a Grecian Urn" by, John Keats. The speaker throughout this poem is showing their appreciation in regards to this Greek Urn their looking at during this poem. This person is showing such amazement in the beauty that this particular urn is giving off. When I first read the topic for this week blog post, I was kind of skeptical on what to write due to the fact that I wasn't sure what the term "mythology" meant. Little did I know, everyday of any ordinary person whether it's you or myself make some reference to classical mythology. Each morning When I awake, I like to start my morning off with a fresh bowl of cereal. Cereal is considered to be a grain product which was named because Ceres was the goddess of grain. Did you know that? Mythology is a wonderful thing!

When it comes to my favorite song that I spoke about in Post 13. it's a particular verse that sticks out to me. "So I need to talk to You And ask You for Your guidance Especially today When my world seems so cloudy, lord Guide me until I'm sure I open up my heart, oh yeah, yes I do" This is my favorite verse because, it actually feels as if she's in my shoes saying what I'm crying out to the lord putting it in her song. When I'm down and out and I feel as if I'm on my last straw I know I can trust, and depend on God. When singing this verse that's what it means to me.

When it comes to music, I've never been the type of person who just listens to anything. I like to listen to music that not only I can relate to, but have meaning to as well. Right now a particular song that I really love is a Gospel song entitled "Open My Heart" by, Yolanda Adams. This song theme to me is basically; "I'm Lost and I Need God The Most". I've went through some times in my life where I felt as if I was so lost, and nobody could help me out this dark spot in my life but God. Every morning I wake up and give God thanks for allowing me to see another unpromising day, that a lot of people didn't get a chance to see. After I've given him thanks, I then start my morning off with this song, and before I go to bed I play this song as well. The theme of my life is "Living like there's no tomorrow". At this point in my life, I'm no longer making excuses about where I should be, or what I should've done! I've mad up in my mind I'm now living for me and today...Not what happened yesterday or weeks ago! The key to happiness is realizing you can't undue what's been done in the past.. Just live like it's no tomorrow and try to be better than yesterday!

When it comes to what I think the theme of the United States is, i'd have to say it's..."The Sky Is The Limit". Why do I say that? In the USA were known to be one of the countries who we, as the people have the most freedom. Here in America, everyone is generally given the same opportunities to be successful in life. For example; when it comes to education we all start off in primary school, and work our  way to high school to graduate. FOR FREE! Furthermore, once we graduate from high school comes college. So what you may not have money for college? We have scholarships and also financial aid to assist us. With this being said, here in the USA the sky is the limit, whatever goal you have set out for yourself... it can definitely get done here in America!

When reading my colleagues post I happened to find a lot that interested me! Throughout all of these, two caught my attention. First person was Ariel's. She explained how her tattoo symbolized motivation "I got a tattoo on my spine that says "I am my own work of art" which motivates me everyday". Whereas, I too spoke about how my tattoo which is on my wrist symbolized my confidence, being that it states "Queen". Also, Demarshun! His post are always so deep, and it actually feels as if you're actually there with him as he's writing. His symbolic thing about him to were his tattoos! He explained how each one of them meant something to him "tattoos at the age of 15 and throughout my life it always represented my state of thinking and my state of being". ...Just like Ariel and I!

This post is actually one of my favorite ones thus far. When reading what this post was supposed to be about I didn't have any problem thinking about what item to choose. The item that I've chosen to elaborate on, because it symbolizes me well is; my tattoo on my wrist. On my left wrist I have a tattoo that says " Queen ". From the day I've gotten this tattoo I've thought of it as more than just a "tattoo". It symbolizes that I'm a " QUEEN and, whenever I feel myself settling for less I look down on my wrist, and I see those five letters and it makes me remember that...I'm a QUEEN and not to ever settle for anything less than what I expect or, know that I'm worthy of and to never allow anyone to tell me different.

When viewing two of my colleagues blog post about Packer's I learned somethings. When reading Dainty's blog post I got a better understanding on the setting in another perspective. Dainty's not only talked about the setting but, she also elaborated on Dina experience in Japan, how her last resort was prostitution and that's when she realized that the grass wasn't as green as she thought on the other side. I actually, liked how she entwined all of the things with the setting and how it played out. Another, colleague post I read was Ariel, I learned that her reasoning for leaning was to make even ore money and so on.

When it comes to the story "Geese" by Z.Z Packer the setting wasn't just a place, it actually had a significant meaning behind it. The setting in this story wasn't just based on his personal obstacles he's gone through within his lifetime, but also about the cultural throughout this story. Packer elaborated on the differences between the American culture and also the ethnicity in regards to Japan which was less diverse. Packer showed this when the character who was considered the "main character" Dina" left for more opportunities, and etc. to come to this place where she knew no one. When Dina came to this place she began to become homesick, due to the fact that it was tremendously different from what she'd grown to know as "home". The story we chose was A Secret Sorrow. During this author life she's always enjoyed writing stories in general. She loved traveling to different places, and meeting new peoples. Her romance life was a very beautiful one. How everything happened was so nice. She ended up marrying a globetrotting U.S. American. With her love life going the way it did, this is what lead her to writing all her stories mainly about romance. With Karen Van der Zee, writing books like this it makes her readers more interested.

The event that I'm going too write about is when my Uncle who was like a farther figure to me passed away. I can elaborate on this as a poem by expanding about how people don't really "die when they meet death" as stated in (Honnet). Explain how just because someone you love passes away doesn't mean you have to stop pursing your dreams and give up on life. The reason why I thought about the topic to elaborate as a poem is because, a lot of times we don't know how to deliver news about death, or speak on it without just saying "she or he is dead". Also, sometimes the words that we are looking for to describe the great suffering that comes with the loss of a loved one or someone we knew are hard to find. So this is when we can turn death into what we're discussing about "poetry". My online source that I've chosen about Faulkner's plot was from  http://figment.com/books/255-SOUTHERN-LITERATURE-lives-/chapters/366 . To summarize what they stated about Faulkner's was that; the plot was structured in a way so that we would be able to know that there's many levels to this story. It went from the past, to the present. It's been made clear that in this story, the past is a living thing. The events that has happened yesterday in this story or to Emily's farther is affecting her today. Even during the story, when the narrator is telling the story they must explain the previous one from the present one to make sense. For example, " Alive, Miss Emily had been a tradition, a duty, and a care; a sort of hereditary obligation upon the town . . ." (Faulkner 91) In regards to the book, it was stated that almost the similar thing just different way of stating. Overall, this is just a awesome story all around! 

When it comes to the stories that we've read so far the one that I'm going to compare to my life is "The Story of an Hour". I know you may be thinking wow, that's depressing. In all honesty my life is awesome and full of excitement but this story plot is similar to one of my plots in my life once upon a time. I'll take you guys to this particular time in my life, when this plot was similar. It was a Saturday morning when my mother, and I were at Golden Coral eating a delicious breakfast. We then received a call that my uncle had been missing, and we both began panicking going crazy. To fast forward we got the call that he was found dead in a alley. This hurt so bad, and tore me up. Likewise, in this story Mrs. Mallard heart was troubling and she was informed about her husbands death. Her husband death was caused by a railroad disaster.

When it comes to movies I rarely look at those. Although, I don't look at movies as much I do recall watching a movie entitled "Frozen", with my little cousin. This movie had tons of figurative language throughout it. There were similes throughout the entire movie. One of them that stuck out to me was when she used the wind to compare to her emotions. "The wind is howling like the swirling storm inside." The meaning of this particular figurative language was to express her emotions that she was having at the moment which were going crazy like the wind. Another form of figurative language that was used in this movie was metaphors. "She is cold", although she's comparing two things to indicate that she's cold, she's not using the words "like or as". These are just two to the figurative languages presented in this movie, with there literal meaning although there more.

When first entering this course, and finding out that we'd have to be posting something called "blogs" I was very clueless. I had no ideal what a blog was or even consisted of before taking this course. During this particular course I've learned to love making these. I'm able to jot down any thoughts that I have and actually read others thought. Everyone posted great blogs but, out of all I really loved one particular persons the most. Kimitre Rhodes, "Four Verse Poem"  Post 21. This poem read  " The beauty of love fades as time passes on As the seasons change and the sun fades away When the seasons return to where the sun shines bright All I can see is beauty reflecting back to me from the suns light".  Reading this poem really touched me mentally.  I could related it to certain times in my life during some of my relationships. When it comes to this semester and the Works that we read the one that I enjoyed the most was "Wife of Bath's". I literally enjoyed this story so much simply because of the main character who was the elderly woman. Her whole entire demeanor about herself from this story made me think of my mother in someways. Due to her determination of standing up for what she wanted. Although she was a major feminist in this time, and did whatever she needed for her money. "For winning wolde I al his lust endure, And make me a feyned appetyt- And yet in bacon hadde I never delyt." (422-424). I would defintly read this tale again being that I could actually feel as if i were there during this story due to it feeling, as if it were written in modern day time.

When it comes to discussing about Hamlet being a modern hero, I too can agree. Hamlet showed heroism  from his thoughtfulness in his courageous determination to live by principle rather than by passion.He faced many struggles, and obstacles. He learned to stay true to his learning despite of what happened which is, a very modern thing that was different from any other ancient or epic hero. In Hamlet's Shakespeare hero teaches us by his example. "Hamlet lives-and dies- by his wisdom. "To thine own self be true". Hamlet remained self worthy and is thoughtful, principle and wise. Throughout this he remained nobly, heroically true to it.

When it comes to comparing Hamlet to the characters that we've read about it could be quite interesting. Hamlet was a guy whom showed the characteristic of being a very strong man. When it comes to a character who we've discussed in class that shares similar characteristics I'd choose Gilgamesh. They both had strength and also power,also were both viewed as being valued in the beginning of each story. Gilgamesh sleeked the power of immortal life, to continue the journey of achieving the mortal failing of his friends, whereas Hamlet seeks the strength to avenge his farther's death. This showed that they both were determined and strong.

When it comes to the Untied Started Of America and the world "Utopia" there's some major similarities. In "Utopia" Moore explained it to be a place where as same as the United States to be a  cooperative society of shared resources, and citizens who work together to better the place as a whole.  A difference was that in this world "Utopia" no private properties existed, whereas in the United States of America plenty of this exist. Utopia overall was seen as a modern world. Although there may have been differences between the two, there waste still similarities as well. 

When it comes to Trump being president there's a lot of things we as the people can say. According to Machiavelli perspective  on "Power" Trump isn't a good leader. In the story " Prince " Machiavelli speaks about the necessity of cruel actions to keep power when in leadership position. He also said, "he...must stick to the good so long as he can, but, being compelled by necessity, he must be ready to take the way of  evil" (Machiavelli 63). Trump hasn't been doing any of the strategies that Machiavelli has set for solid aid.

 When it comes to me choosing a song that has beauty in it, I'll have to choose the song called "Don'tchange"" by Musiq Soulchild. My reasoning for choosing this song is simply because i find beauty all in this song. One of the main parts of the song which to this song was " See I'll love you when your hair turns gray, girl   I'll still want you if you gain a little weight, yeah  The way I feel for you will always be the same  Just as long as your love don't change" in that part alone it's nothing but love. Accepting you for who you are, regardless of your image. Pure love. 

The beauty of life to me is different from others, Life has a faint voice that inspires, invigorate and soothes me. Though life has no ending date to when it's over, what makes it so special? Life is something that you only get to live once, so live it to your best ability.

Should Socrates Be In Hell? This is a really good question, if I should say so myself. No, Socrates shouldn't go to hell. Overall, he was a good person and I loved his outlook on death. He felt as if death was something that no one on this earth should fear, which is so true. He stood for the dilemma that he believed in, and I don't think he deserved to be sentenced to death. All in all as Socrates too felt as if he didn't feel like he'd been neglected by the "Gods", People seemed to not like Socrates due to him telling his belief in regards to the Gospel of Gods. A group of young men gravitated to him due to believing the things he said, which to made the people upset as well. Regrades to this story and these facts is my reasoning why I too think he shouldn't go to go to hell.

When it comes to Dante's concept of hell there can be many different opinions on what he felt bout this particular word. Personally speaking from what I read Dante's concept of hell; was more on a mind thing. When I say this statement I'm speaking in regards to something occurring only in "his" mind. When reading this story a particular line stuck out to me which was, " The Path To Paradise, Starts In Hell". This statement stuck to me because, I can compare it similarly to my life being that in other words it's saying..." in order to start receiving your blessings, your going to have to go through some rough things. The appeal of pain then comes in when the pilgrim's are trying to restore Dante's consciousness in regards to what sin really is. In modern day time, I feel as if we see hell  on earth today as it is. In regards to the violence that's occurring, the black on black crimes and white on white crimes and just racism period! ...

"Do you care about how people who make a huge impact on your lives act?" When it comes to people in leadership in office it's a certain way they should act. In regards to the world being a better place, you have to lead by an example. If office wasn't to do that then the world would be total chaotic.People whom are in a high leadership position should definitely make sure that they keep the best image that they can. Wouldn't you think so to?

When it comes to assessing the role of the president in regards to Socrates' philosophy, Obama fits that description. Socrates had  a strong belief that true knowledge should be something that was seen by actions and not by being taught. He focused more on the material idea of which life held. This is my reasoning for choosing Obama. President Obama had a lot of knowledge which was displayed while his time in the office. This was displayed in many of his actions by the things he'd created and things he did.

When it comes to the view of Jesus in the Qur'an it may, or may not be the same as yours. Every religion has a different aspect when it comes to "Jesus". The Qur'an view on Jesus was that he was considered to be a prophet and messenger of Allah, which is another name for "God". Jesus is considered to be a sign of peace. Jesus plays a major role in regards to the Qur'an.

When it comes to contrasting between the two are the "Conversion Stories", in the Bible these stories contain many prophets whom are all struggling in their faith. In the Qur'an you don't see many Gods lifting each other up and also the prophets here are all perfect. This is a major difference when it comes to the two. Between the two, they share a common trait. Both of them told a story about Moses', although they were different.

When it comes to exploring Gods in modern and ancient time there's similarities and difference. In each time whether or were ancient or modern, Gods played an important role. In "Ancient" stories these Gods played numerous of roles in regards to where they stood. They had control over many different aspects of life on earth. Whereas, "Modern" story Gods played a major role in making sure the world was good, trying to save the world. As stated some share similarities and some otherwise.

When it comes to the justness of some of the US Wars everyone has their own insight and opinion on this particular topic. Some may think that the war by all means was very necessary, whereas others may think otherwise. During my lifetime whenever something occurs where there's a conflict I try to come up with a solution that doesn't involve violence. This is said because, I feel as if the United States could have done the same thing instead of fighting with these countries. Within this particular story "The Art of War" they discuss war in different aspects. Each of these aspects that this story speaks on comes from a different approach that could adjust many opinions on whether or not your for or against the violence that's occurred. "The Art of War", speaks more on believing that violence is the key for succession when competing against competitors or any obstacle. A tragic event that happened to a important person named Roger Parent, the Saskatchewan Party MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin who was recently diagnosed with cancer, has passed away. He was 63.  This event was so tragic for his family, especially due to the fact that he died by his family side. One of his friends  Premier Brad Wall expressed his shock and sorrow. "“Roger was here in the assembly carrying out his duties throughout most of the fall session and only learned he had cancer in the past couple of weeks,” Wall said in a statement." http://globalnews.ca/news/3097441/saskatchewan-party-mla-roger-parent-passes-away/. Once day I, Imani was just starting my senior year. I was so excited about all the exciting activities that were instored for this important year of my life. My senior year💕.  Before this year started I'd already made up in my mind that this year was going go be my best year academically wise and was determined to be one of the first three of the top ten percent of my class! As the year narrowed down if got go the time where they were going to announce on the intercome the "top ten percent" of our class.  When they began to announce the top ten percent for number 3... it wasn't me!  A girl beat me by one number! I was so upset because this was a goal I had worked so hard for. Yes I know it's still good, but I had a goal.

As i was reading through each of my colleagues blog post about their perspective on epic here it seemed very strange. This was strange reading a lot of the post due to the fact that everyone seemed to have the same perspective on what they though a modern hero was. Which all seemed to share two of all the same characteristics which were "loyalty, and bravery". While reading Detaria post I seen that she classified "Veterans" as a epic modern hero. I honestly wouldn't have even thought about Veterans as being a modern epic hero, but I do agree. In my post i mentioned a hero having loyalty. Veterans shows that by staying committed to the quest that they've went on when serving our country, and making sure they got business done! Furthermore, I read Jessy post and agree with her as well! When it comes to "Epic Hero" they carry eight major characteristics. The first characteristic is; Champion of freedom. This characteristics is the first trait, which supports the idea of heroes fighting with the forces good versus evil. The second trait is; Courage. This is when the hero continue whatever journey or task they may be going through, after the fact that they've showed fear. The third trait is; Super strength. This trait serves more of a physical trait that helps the hero when it's in battle. The fourth trait is; Devotion. This trait is when the hero goes through anything he or she has to just to stay on top. Next is the fifth trait which is; Loyalty. Heroes are very true to this trait. This trait shows how loyal they stay to any task they may be doing regardless of the obstacle. The sixth trait is; Love of glory. The article I happen to choose from Wikipedia was, " The Wife of Bath's Tale". When it comes to this particular article that I've choose, overall I must say it was somewhat greatly put together. This article provided an insight on why this particular tale was written saying," It provides insight into the role of women in the   Late Middle Ages ". Also throughout this article one of it's major strongest piece of information that they elaborated on was, speaking about the characters. Whomever, wrote this went on and on about each character, their role, and how important their character traits contributed to this particular tale. Although, I initially stated that this article was overall greatly put together, one weakness was the incorrect spelling of words and also the word choices they chose to write this article. Words that were more challenging would've best fit this particular article.

When it comes to "Romantic Love" everyone has a story to tell about it, whether its good or bad. Romantic love has been around longer than anyone reading this has been living. Its the expressive and pleasurable feeling from an emotional attraction towards another person often associated with sexual attraction. When it comes to the development of love some countries developed faster than others. When it comes to romantic love and the " Wife of Bath " perspective on love, they share similarities. In the wife of bath last relationship she stayed with him through the tough times due to his greatness in bed, and didn't want to be without him. Whereas, romantic love traits are; separation anxiety, you like the things your partner does in bed, craving for them and etc. So they somewhat shared the similar perspective in many ways.

As we know when it comes to the tale  "The Wife of Bath " , the story is filled with sexual content everywhere you look. The sexual things in this story isn't just about sleeping with multiple men at different times, but as well a relationship wise... Having different relationships and "relations" with people. Likewise, in the story " Metamorphoses "  in regards to sex there was a lot of "sexual violence". Not only were there violent sexual things pertained in this story, but human sexuality and animal sexuality.  A modern song that could relate to the, "The Wife of Bath" is "Love Em All", by K. Michelle. I choose this song because, K. Michelle and the Wife of bath shared multiple characteristics. One of hose major characteristics were as the tittle states... they both "Love Em All". This song can also relate to Metamorphoses. 

When it comes to the story "Wife of Bath's" I seem to have came across certain things that seemed relative in today's time. One of the things that caught my eye was her sex life. It was stated that she stayed with her fifth husband although he beat her. One of her reasoning for this decision is due to the fact that he was good in bed. This to is true in modern time. Nowadays, females stay with guys and vice versa, due to the performance in bed which is sad yet, true. Another modern thing in regards to romance is that she marry multiple men. This to is something that is very common in modern day time. Women no longer marry men, and stay with them "til death do us apart". Why do we even say this statement anymore?Does it even matter? Apparently not because, women and men go from guy to guy or women to women in regards to men.

When it comes to exploring archetypes this can be done in numerous of ways. Archetype is a pattern or model that is used again and again in storytelling. When it comes to the story " Metamorphoses ", by Ovid there's some archetypes that I've happened to discover in this story is when it discussed about  the "chaotic universe". Comparing my views to his when discussed to this story is somewhat similar. I to sometimes think of the world as being a chaotic universe, With everything functioning the way it does in today's time I can definitely relate to Ovid when he made this statement in the opening.

When it comes to Archetypes in my family that works is our Thanksgiving Dinner. This is a special holiday that has always symbolized something in my family. Since I've been a young girl this holidays has been very important. It symbolizes "Unity" for my family. It's a time where my family from all over comes to fellowship, and enjoy each others company. Every year this event has been something that everyone in my family looks forward to coming and enjoying the festivities! this is a consistent event, that has and will remain a family tradition.

How does creation shape our world in today's time? Everyone has questions like, "How did the world come to even be what it is today, Why are we even here or How did we even get here?" These questions can be answered in various of ways due to our beliefs and creation stories. Every Culture there is or religion all have a creation stories that has their perspective on how the world was formed and how we as humans came to be who we are. Although these stories may vary they all help us to get a better meaning, and better understanding with the relationships we share with humans and the earth that we live on. All of these creation stories shape our world because, they all postulate the existence of the things and humans that shape the world that we live in today. Each of these stories that are told hold a specific theme, and sometimes have similar things in common. Although these stories may hold similarities, there's also major differences which have a dramatic impact on...

When it comes to creation we may wonder "What does it mean?' or, "Where did it come about?" As a child, and still till this day I was brought up in a Baptist Church. When this question comes up I automatically think back to the days when I was younger and attended Sunday School. The teacher once stated that, God "created all things" Which was stated in the Bible from Revelation 4:11. Everyday we see brilliant amount of things all around us to prove this scripture. At first I thought that I may have thought that God created everything due to the fact of me being taught that, until I got older and began to read the Bible and found scriptures that supported my belief. For instance, Romans 1:20 "For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power, and Godship, son that they are inexcusable. Furthermore, this specific question still makes me wonder althou...

This is my first Hybrid class that I've ever taken, and I'm so excited about the things that I'm about to learn! Can't wait for a wonderful semester with you guys!
